The golf tournament will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the Texas Star Golf Course in Euless, Texas. It is being hosted by the Dallas Geophysical Society. Proceeds from this popular event support college scholarships in the fields of geoscience.

We will play only an afternoon flight. Register early to secure one of the 144 spots in the tournament. The tournament will use a four-man scramble format with each player required to submit a handicap. Prizes will be awarded for first and last place, as well as closest to the pin and longest drive.

Texas Star is well-known for world class golf that is secluded in the midst of the bustling Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. This challenging course has been highly ranked by Golf Digest, Golfweek, the Dallas Morning News and the T&L Golf. This serene public golf course has a private feel with 275 acres of plush fairways, magnificent views, stacked rock ponds, waterfalls, and natural woodlands. Texas Star Golf Course and Conference Centre is conveniently located in Euless, Texas, just ten minutes away from DFW Airport and fifteen minutes from Dallas Cowboys Stadium and the Ballpark in Arlington. This central location close to Hurst and Bedford also provides close access to both downtown Dallas and Downtown Fort Worth.

$125 per player, or $500 per foursome

entry for door prizes, box lunch, BBQ dinner,

golf shirt (specify size when register),

green fees, range balls, and golf cart rental

Players may arrive as early as 11:00 a.m. to check-in and to use the practice facility. A box lunch is included at check-in. A shotgun start of the tournament will begin promptly at 1:00 p.m. Players will meet in the dining area following their round for dinner and an awards presentation.

Please remember that the Texas Star Golf Course is a soft-spikes-only golf course and collared shirts must be worn.

Registration will be handled by mail.
The registration and payment deadline was Friday, April 22, 2011.
