Comments from our President Elect
As former Ford and Chrysler executive, Lee Iacocca, once said, “Communication is everything.”
Whether steering an automotive giant or assisting the local chapter of a professional society, I couldn’t agree more with the wisdom of Mr. Iacocca’s statement. Your 2010-2011 Board of Directors agrees too and we are making a concerted effort to increase communication between the Board and membership this year.
Towards that end, I would like to bring to your attention a feature of our website that some members may not even be aware of; our “Forums” link. The online forums are a place where membership can have open discussions about any and all things related to the DGS. Discussion topics can be pro or con and can range from trivial to essential.
After logging in as usual, simply click the “Forums” link in the upper, left-hand corner and you’re there! Once at the forums page, members can sound off on any discussion threads currently posted or start a brand new topic for other members to comment on. Either way, online forums are an excellent avenue for the exchange of ideas and increased communication.
The next time you login to www.dgsdallas.org, stop by our “Forums” page and see what other members are talking about!
